DAMAC Properties was founded in 2002 by Hussain Sajwani, a billionaire Emirati business tycoon. The company was listed on the Dubai Financial Market in 2015 and delisted in 2022 after being taken private again by Sajwani. DAMAC Properties has developed several iconic projects, including DAMAC Hills, a master-planned residential golf course community around the Trump International Golf Club in Dubai, and Akoya Oxygen, a residential development alongside a second Trump International Golf Course.
